  • Increase the public's understanding of the transportation planning process and the role of the MPO.
  • Identify opportunities for the public to become involved in the transportation planning process.
  • Identify and involve traditionally underserved populations in the transportation involvement process.
  • Identify public involvement techniques to increase public involvement in the transportation planning process.
  • Quantitatively monitor the outreach techniques employed for effectiveness.
